The Lover’s Leap contains depictions of some violence, sexual situations, reference to mild parental abuse toward a child, and other situations which some readers may find uncomfortable or disturbing. The book is intended for readers 18+, but may be suitable for younger mature readers.
This is a work of fantasy, and violence against some characters does take place. Care has been taken by the author to ensure that violence is not gratuitous or extremely graphic in any way.
Please review the following list of sensitive chapters/aspects of the work to guide you as you read. The list below may not be inclusive, but these are the chapters/scenes which I believe have the potential to be most sensitive.
• Chapter Two contains a fight with injuries (background characters, not primary/secondary characters)
• Chapter Three contains a scene where main character recalls some rough physical treatment by a parent when she was young (not gratuitous/very little on page)
• Chapters Five-Six mention but do not show that background characters have been murdered (all violence off the page)
• Chapter Ten contains an attack of a secondary character (on the page) by an invented monster/creature
• Chapters Fourteen and Fifteen contain some violence and gore against background the death (background characters, not primary/secondary characters)
